Upper Nyack residents have reported seeing a deer with a blue recycling container lid stuck around its neck for the past several months. Clarkstown Animal Control Officer Patricia Coleman says numerous people have contacted her after spotting the doe, which has been in the area since October or November of last year.
Coleman said she reached out to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) because of concerns about the deer. Since the deer appears to be a healthy size and managing to eat with the lid wedged on its neck, DEC officials advised Coleman to leave it alon
