A Taste of Nyack

Enjoy a sampling of Nyack's finest cuisine at the Rockland YMCA's Taste of Nyack, Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Proceeds provide program and membership scholarships for children of low income families. The event begins 6 PM with a shotgun start. Dessert will follow at Nyack Seaport. Participating restaurants include (in alphabetical order): 8 North Broadway, Casa Del Sol, Harbor Hill, Hudson House, Lanterna, Olive’s/Sour Kraut, O’Malley’s, Pour House, Spice of India, Two Spear Street and Velo. “Tasters” will also have an opportunity to sample wines at Palmieri Wines and Spirits. Proceeds from this event will enable the Y to continue to help children of low income families by providing: annual membership scholarships for youth and teens; child care and after school care tuition assistance; camp scholarships; dance classes; aquatics programs; Holiday Fun Clubs; sports and fitness programs; Teen Nights; and affordable, accessible programming for people of all ages In 2011 the YMCA served 4,100 boys, girls, men and women at 26 locations in diverse communities throughout Rockland County.
