La Fontana: A Mothers Day Favorite!

     My mom and I like to go out to dinner once a week and we like to try different places. We keep coming back to La Fontana in Nyack. Aside from the traditional Italian flare and consistently good food, the ambiance is wonderful. (we love the outdoor garden!)  La Fontana's staff are warm and friendly. We also prefer not to be squished into a small place and there's plenty of sitting room here! The Fried Calamari is our favorite appetizer and we try different entrees each visit. The Chicken Appletini wrap is also a favorite that I cant seem to get anywhere else.
     Tony, the owner, always walks around and never hesitates to say hello while keeping an eye on things. Last month, a waiter came over to him and mentioned that a patron had spilled wine on her dress, and he asked if he could bring her some cloth instead of paper napkins. Tony insisted that he not only bring her cloth, but also insisted in club soda and whatever else she needed. 
    My mom and I love the brunch as well. The choices are so plentiful from seasoned mazzarella and tomatoes,  fresh asparagus , salads, pasta and the traditional breakfast favorites. We never have enough room to try everything, but I plan on working my way through the desserts this weekend!
    Being in the heart of Nyack is the best reason to venture here. After a full meal, walk along the streets and browse all in the eclectic and unique boutiques and stores. I plan on picking out a mother's day gift from here that catches her eye. This what makes Nyack and La Fontana such a nice destination!
