Nyack Schools Hold Last Referendum Information Session

Each day, Patch provides the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our five-bullet local dispatch. 

1) Nyack Public Schools will hold the last of three public information sessions regarding the $26.4 bond referendum 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nyack High School. The basic presentation is the same as the two previous sessions, but some information has been updated and adjusted to answer questions that have been raised by the public. Read more here. The district also recently added 3D renderings of the proposed athletic field upgrades, which can be found on the district website here

2) Leadership Rockland is hosting a Rockland County Executive Candidates Debate in the Prusmack Center's Fury Lecture Hall at Dominican College at 470 Western Highway in Orangeburg at 6:30 p.m. 

3) Expect some fog in the morning, followed by partly sunny skies and a temperature near 69 degrees Wednesday. There is a small chance of rain after 9 p.m.

5) Robert Tompkins blogs about the Emmett and J Lo Show on 1230 AM Radio WFAS Sunday, Oct. 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The candidates for Orangetown Supervisor, Democrat Andy Stewart and Republican Walter Wettje will be on to answer questions from co-hosts Emmett Woods and John Lowry as well as those submitted ahead of time by the public.
