Learn About Musical Therapy

Each day, Patch provides the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our five-bullet local dispatch. 

  1. Certified music therapist and children's musician Jeffrey Friedberg will give a presentation about music therapy from 7 p.m to 8 p.m. at Nyack Public Library. Pre-registration is encouraged. Find out more in his Bossy Frog Blog here
  2. Barnes & Noble on the fourth floor of Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack will share What's Your Favorite Animal?, a book of illustrations and personal stories by Eric Carle and 13 other children's book artists talking about their favorite animals and why they love them. This is a free reading of the book along with other activities for children. Read more here
  3. The cold weather will continue Wednesday with a projected high temperature of 23 degrees and a low at night near 11, with morning clouds expected to clear by the afternoon.

  5. Nyack Public Library offers a knitting and crochet group every Wednesday in January and February. There is an informal group with no instructor that runs from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Moffett Room. Registration is required. Find out more or register here
