Local Musicians to Perform at Piermont Reformed Church

Marc Farre, other residents to take the stage

A handful of local musicians are set to perform on home turf this Friday.

Piermonter and indie-pop crooner Marc Farre will take the stage at Piermont Reformed Church on Feb. 10. Farre will be joined by cellist Isabel Castellvi and drummer Tom Curiano, who recently played with Bruce Springsteen in Asbury Park.

Also featured will be bassist Lorenzo Wolff, a Nyacker with impressive pedigree—his father has worked alongside director Jonathan Demme, and his mother, Marta Renzi, is an accomplished choreographer.

The night was organized with the help of pastor John Vanden Oever, a singer-songwriter who has also made the rounds in Nyack and Piermont.

"[Vanden Oever] is constantly bringing great performers to his church—from avant-garde theater to poetry readings to chamber music to singer/songwriters and eclectic folk-rock artists like me," Farre said.

Tickets are $10; the show runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
