New Jobs Connector Service To Link Unemployed To Employers

Town of Ramapo launching free employment effort on May 1.

The Town of Ramapo is launching an online effort to connect job hunters with employers.

“Since taking office 12 years ago economic development, job growth, and saving local jobs has been one of my top priorities, Ramapo Jobs Connector is a continuation of this mission,” said town Supervisor Christopher P. St. Lawrence.

St. Lawrence said Ramapo is the first town in Rockland Country to launch a new online jobs platform using social recruiting. The Ramapo Jobs Connector website powered by Tweet My Jobs will make it easier for unemployed and underemployed local residents to find jobs and get better jobs, St. Lawrence said.

Those who use Ramapo Jobs Connector will receive job matches by e-mail, text message or from social networks like Twitter and Facebook. The service is free to both jobseekers and employees.

“I encourage every employer in Rockland County who is looking for workers to post their jobs on the Ramapo Jobs Connector,” St. Lawrence said.
