Motorcycle Accident on Thruway Leaves Driver Injured

Second motorcycle accident in Rockland this week

A truck on a portion of the Thruway in Nyack lost control this morning and struck a motorcycle.

The accident, which occured near exit 11 at about 10:30 a.m., left the motorcycle driver with minor injuries.

"He was transported to Nyack Hospital," explained Trooper Katz, an officer with New York State Police who responded to the incident.

This marks the second motorcycle accident this week in Rockland. On Monday, a crash in Pearl River claimed the life of a 44-year-old high school teacher with two young children. Read more about that story .
